CONSTRAINT-INDUCED MOVEMENT THERAPY ASSOCIATED WITH KINESIO TAPING IN HEMIPARESIS REHABILITATION: RANDOMIZED CLINICAL TRIAL

چکیده
Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) is one of the most effective techniques to improve functionality paretic upper limbs, but there are no studies investigating association CIMT and kinesio taping (KT). To analyze effects this on extremity functional recovery hemiparetic children adolescents. In randomized clinical trial, individuals diagnosed with brain injury hemiparesis were allocated in 3 groups: CIMT, + KT KT. assessed for through Motor Activity Log Wolf Function Test muscle tone Modified Ashworth Scale. Participated 30 subjects aging 5 17 years old. improved MAL WMFT scores, whereas alone MAS scores wrist fingers. improving amount movement affected limb, CIMT+KT reduced fingers tone. Both seem be recovery.

Rehabilitation of stroke patients with plegic hands: Randomized controlled trial of expanded Constraint-Induced Movement therapy.
PURPOSE To evaluate the efficacy of an expanded form of Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (eCIMT) that renders CIMT, originally designed for treating mild-to-moderate upper-extremity hemiparesis, suitable for treating severe hemiparesis. METHODS Twenty-one adults ≥1 year after stroke with severe upper-extremity hemiparesis (with little or no capacity to make movements with the more-affected...
متن کاملTreatment of congenital hemiparesis with pediatric constraint-induced movement therapy.
To determine efficacy of pediatric Constraint-Induced Movement therapy, 20 children with congenital hemiparesis (ages 2 to 6 years) were randomly assigned to receive the treatment or usual care. Controls crossed over to the therapy after 6 months. Children receiving the therapy first exhibited emergence of more new classes of motor patterns and skills (eg, crawling, thumb-forefinger prehension;...
متن کاملEffects of Lower Limbs Kinesio Taping on Balance Ability in Children With Cerebral Palsy: A Pilot Randomized Clinical Trial
Objectives: Cerebral Palsy (CP) is a non-progressive brain damage that leads to movement and balance disorders. One of the new rehabilitation approaches for such children is Kinesio taping. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of lower limbs kinesio taping on static and dynamic balance in children with CP. Methods: In this pilot randomized clinical trial, 30 children with CP were ...
متن کاملThe effect of kinesio taping on pain, strength and disability of neck in myofascial pain syndrome: a randomized clinical trial
Background: Tenderness, pain, muscle weakness, and limited range of motion (ROM) are symptoms of myofascial pain syndrome, which leads to restrictions on physical, occupational and social activities and ultimately reduction of productivity and quality of life. Different methods of rehabilitation are used to improve the symptoms of these patients. One of the new methods is the use of kinesio tap...

PURPOSE To compare effects of kinesio taping with sham taping at the end of 3 consecutive taping periods in knee osteoarthritis. METHODS 41 patients diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis according to American College of Rheumatology were randomized to receive either KT or sham taping. Baseline evaluations included a visual analog scale (VAS) for activity and nocturnal pain, Lequesne index for fu...
